I LOVE surprises. Planning surprises to be more specific. I tend to ruin the surprises for myself if someone attempts to plan them for me hah.
I had been looking forward to this since July. My littles were going to be all on their own this year and I definitely had to plan some tricks up my sleeve to not only surprise but make sure I wasn't completely irrelevant.
I had already bought Megan and I's first gifts which were tickets to Troye Sivan! (Which personally I AM SO FRIGGIN' PUMPED FOR). I also picked up some balloons, Big Little Gifts, and a sprinkles cupcake.
It was so odd going to back to U of A, but it was EXACTLY the type of comfort and pick me up I needed seeing my the people I love most.
It was a lot making it to Tucson and back all in one day, but all I kept thinking was it was worth it, and almost necessary. Because for me, I think friendships take work, but that's okay because the people you care about deserve to be told how much they mean to you.
Luckily, timing was perfect, and I was able to surprise my little bean and celebrate her 19th birthday with her!
So happy bday Megs! I'm so thankful you are my little, and I'm the luckiest big/mom in the world! I can't wait to meet the grandbabies!
