The Chandler Service Club hosts their annual and 84th Charity Ball.
One of the most lovely evenings of the year, The CSC Flower Girl program has been something near and dear to my heart since my junior year of high school when my friend Bailey suggested I do the program when I was a senior. The Flower Girl program's goal is to "foster a lifelong commitment to helping others through community service; to promote an appreciation for social graces and etiquette; and to develop leadership, self-image and other character building skills for young women in our community."
"Chandler Service Club honors 40 Flower Girls at the 84th Charity Ball . Over 25,000 hours of Community Service has been done this year due to
These young ladies. Happy day! Great job CSC volunteers" - CSC member Pam Thelander
As someone who believes strongly in social etiquette, grace, women self-image positivity, and community outreach, this program has impacted everything.
Not only is it an amazing thing to surround yourself with so many incredible women (many who are in my inspiring women tab), who also believe in you and your dreams, the CSC never fails to amaze me with their dedication to high school seniors. Knowing the value of self-image, and self-worth has always been a huge insecurity in my life from being cyberbullied in middle school. But going through the Flower Girl program taught me grace, etiquette and my strength to achieve anything I set my high standards too.
Without the Flower Girl program, I wouldn't have some of the most outlasting friendships with girls from all over the Chandler/Gilbert community.
When I started doing videography my co-chairman Christine and Bonnie were more than willing to help me and let me become the official videographer for the program. And since my senior year, I have recommended more than 10 girls into the program and seen three years of amazing senior girls graciously complete their service projects and the program. It has kept me grounded, and constantly reminds me of the standard of excellence and etiquette I want for myself and future. This was my fourth year filming the ball and I can't wait for everyone to see it!
