21 and a half!

I don’t know why more people don’t celebrate their half birthday, I think it’s the best point of the year to personally reflect on all that you have accomplished and all that you want to accomplish in the next 6 months.

Not to mention! I Illegal Petes on Mill finally opened so what better way than to celebrate a half birthday than endless margs served by your mans!

Live life in the present

These last 6 months have been an overwhelming amount of change, growth, and perseverance. I had NO IDEA how hard the transition from college to real world really was. And I don’t mean just adjusting to the 7 am - 4pm hours of work . (Although I gotta warn ya even your body has to adjust to that). But, acknowledging that the many years of thinking I had life figured out have come to an end. Sure I have been sure of myself, my abilities, and my dreams which have kept me motivated and level headed for as long as I can remember. But I’ve been learning some major life lessons lately. Here are a few :

Don’t wish your life away, learn how to happy now.

Have patience - still working on this one.

It’s good to dream, but don’t forget that there is a even greater plan for you that you might not even realize yet.

The people who you care about deserve to know how much you care about them. Even if that means being vulnerable.

Be honest with yourself, it’s okay to say no to favors, tasks, or overwhelming situations if your head isn’t in the right space and your heart isn’t in it.

Always try new things.

Invest in friendships

Always take an experience over a material thing.

Always yes to adventures

Take the opportunities more often than not to do things that give you the most alive, satisfied and inspired feelings.

Quality life talks with friends are a must all the time but especially in your 20s.

You only live once… get a glass of champagne.

Life is 100% about the up and downs, it’s never been about having it all figured out at one time.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me, supported me, and gotten me where I am today! It definitely hasn’t been easy but I can’t wait to see where the next 6 months take me.
